This work explores the complex patterns that exist in nature, and the intricacies that hide beneath the natural beauty of the plants, flowers, and vegetation that we have become accustomed to witnessing. Each petal and color represent a designated place and purpose. Bold yellows contrast against vibrant blues as they collapse into one antoher, forming petals as the paint lays atop the recycled plastic that forms the paintings foundation. The gold elements create a heaviness that juxtaposes the airy, gestural strokes that surround the central subject. The work become a swirl of floral arms, reaching forth, exploring, and sprouting. - Viktoria.
